Goals
The fundamental objective of this space is to dismantle the conventional model of engagement within the business hub. It is crucial that the core principle of OLOLO remains intact — unparalleled transparency and mutually advantageous networking.

Architecture
The architectural design of the coworking centre has been inspired by the shape of the letter «E», yet it does not impose a rigid zoning system. This approach fosters a sense of belonging to a community, as collaborative efforts are inherently motivating. The five-storey building spans over 6,000 square meters, with 50 percent designated for enclosed office spaces and the remaining half dedicated to open areas and internal logistics. The layout of each floor is tailored to its specific purpose and capacity. The interior entrances are strategically positioned towards the centre, facilitating swift vertical and horizontal movement.

Owing to the extensive glazing, the edifice alters its appearance depending on the time of day. All public areas are oriented towards the west and the east, allowing for alternating sunlight patterns.

The coworking space features both unserground and ground parking facilities. Additionally, there are designated areas for personal mobility equipment and a dedicated storage space. The design of the window facade is seamlessly integrated into the surrounding residential development, resulting in a more harmonious appearance compared to the primary facade.

Design
The name «ololoPlanet» encapsulates the essence of a creative hub, with each floor representing a distinct element of our planet: the water on the first floor, the earth on the second, the forest on the third, and the sky on the fourth and fifth. The building itself is a metaphor for our collective planet.
Our team has been involved in the conceptualization and design of the first floor. The second, third, and fourth floors were designed by the MEL @mel_interior_design, while the fifth floor was the creation of the @asanbekova_bureau.

Underwater world
The initial design of the conference hall incorporated features that reflected the number of storeys in the building, as well as distinctive shapes and hues. However, in the subsequent iteration, the design was refined to adopt a more formal aesthetic, while still retaining a subtle allusion to its maritime heritage through the incorporation of a coral-like shade.
In the final iteration, further modifications were made to both the hues and materials employed.
Authentic pieces

  • The place of accumulation of people at the elevator
We had intended to expand the space allocated for the congestion of individuals awaiting the elevator. Due to the confinement of the corridor, it became necessary to sacrifice a portion of the conference hall in order to accommodate this expansion.
To enhance the illumination of the corridor with natural light, this section of the wall has been constructed using translucent glass blocks.
  • Glass panel
In accordance with the design project, the panel is positioned immediately to the left of the entrance to the coworking center, and it is impossible to overlook it due to its height of 9 meters. Crafted according to individual designs, it features sky-blue hues reminiscent of the dynamic motion of a raging sea. This panel serves not only as an aesthetic element but also functions to demarcate the restaurant area from the public space. Those with keen eyesight may discern the discreetly embedded inscription "OLOLO" within the design.
  • Columns
The initial design concept envisioned the use of curved glass in the columns to create a wave-like effect. However, due to the current global uncertainties, this concept had to be discarded in order to mitigate potential manufacturing and sourcing challenges. Instead, a blue polycarbonate coating was chosen for the columns. At the base of each column, there is a slight indentation from the floor, which was intentionally designed for safety purposes.
  • Staircase
The design of the staircase was conceived with the intention of ensuring its visibility from the street at night. The structure is illuminated from below, and the railing was designed with laser-cut elements that were individually crafted for this project. This design creates a sense of lightness, giving the impression that the stairs are floating in mid-air. This approach allowed us to maintain a clean and uncluttered aesthetic in the main hall.
  • Metal pieces
The suspended whale above the administrative block is a work of art that was created based on individual sketches. It serves as a focal point on the ground floor of the building. The rings surrounding it are illuminated, allowing the whale to be visible in the evening from the perspective of Yunusaliev Street.
  • The ceiling of the conference room
Initially, it was planned to use thick oilcloth to decorate the ceiling of the conference room. When the lights were turned on, this material was supposed to create the effect of a «water surface». However, the creative team of DOXA reconsidered our concept and proposed an innovative solution: using 9,500 plastic bottles to empasize the idea of preserving the environment.
